On August 15th, We celebrate Our Blessed Mother Mary’s Assumption into Heaven

Queen of Heaven, rejoice. Alleluia.
For He, whom thou wast worthy to bear. Alleluia.
Has risen as He said. Alleluia.
Pray for us to God. Alleluia.
V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary. Alleluia.
R. Because the Lord is truly risen, Alleluia.

Let us pray
O God, Who by the Resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
hast been pleased to give joy to the whole world,
grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of
the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Mother,
we , we may attain the joys of eternal life.
Through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.

“This prayer reminds us at Easter, and throughout the year for that matter, of how much we have to be thankful for, even in the midst of our daily trials. When our Lord conquered death in His resurrection he opened the gates of Heaven for us to be able to share Eternal Life with Him there, along with his Mother, the saints, and our loved ones.

St. Ambrose once said, “let the soul of Mary be in each of us to magnify the Lord, and the spirit of Mary be in each of us to rejoice in God.”

Heavenly Father, Author of Life and Grace, In Your Mercy grant me and my loved ones, the strength to live and persevere as real Christians, concerned citizens and kind neighbors.

Give me the knowledge to understand and the will to carry out my obligations as a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.  Let all my actions today and every day bring Christ to everyone I meet.

Through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen.

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.Amen.

Let us ask God to give worthy Priests, Deacons, Brothers, Sisters, and Consecrated Seculars to His Holy Church.

O God / we earnestly beseech Thee / to bless this archdiocese / with many Priests, Deacons, Brothers, Sisters, and Consecrated Seculars / who will love Thee with their whole strength / and gladly spend their entire lives / to serve Thy Church / and to make Thee known and loved.

Bless our families.  Bless our Children.

Choose from our homes those who are needed for Thy work.

Mary, Queen of the clergy.

Pray for us.  Pray for our Priests and Religious Leaders. Obtain for us, many more.

Say an “Our Father”, “Hail Mary” and “Glory Be” for all of our ill and deceased members.

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all. Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Prayer of Pope Pius XII    In Honor of the Immaculate Conception

Enraptured by the splendor of your heavenly beauty, and impelled by the anxieties of the world, we cast ourselves into your arms, O Immaculate Mother of Jesus and our Mother, Mary, confident of finding in your most loving heart appeasement of our ardent desires, and a safe harbor from the tempests which beset us on every side.

Though degraded by our faults and overwhelmed by infinite misery, we admire and praise the peerless richness of sublime gifts with which God has filled you, above every other mere creature, from the first moment of your conception until the day on which, after your assumption into heaven, He crowned you Queen of the Universe.

O crystal fountain of faith, bathe our minds with the eternal truths! O fragrant Lily of all holiness, captivate our hearts with your heavenly perfume! O Conqueress of evil and death, inspire in us a deep horror of sin, which makes the soul detestable to God and a slave of hell!

O well-beloved of God, hear the ardent cry which rises up from every heart. Bend tenderly over our aching wounds. Convert the wicked, dry the tears of the afflicted and oppressed, comfort the poor and humble, quench hatreds, sweeten harshness, safeguard the flower of purity in youth, protect the holy Church, make all men feel the attraction of Christian goodness. In your name, resounding harmoniously in heaven, may they recognize that they are brothers, and that the nations are members of one family, upon which may there shine forth the sun of a universal and sincere peace.

Receive, O most sweet Mother, our humble supplications, and above all obtain for us that, one day, happy with you, we may repeat before your throne that hymn which today is sung on earth around your altars: You are all-beautiful, O Mary! You are the glory, you are the joy, you are the honor of our people! By Scott P. Richert Catholicism Expert
